For Can Yayınları, we produced a creative animated film to accompany the special reissue of 1984, interpreting the book’s dystopian atmosphere through animation.
01 · Challenge
When announcing the special reissue of a cult work like 1984, the communication needed to go beyond simply saying that the book was back in print. The challenge was to make the book’s literary power, timeless political tension, and the collectible value of the special edition visible through a strong, contemporary, and attention-grabbing digital narrative.
02 · Approach
“1984 is not only a book that is read; it creates images, symbols, and emotions that stay in memory. That is why the communication for the special edition needed to evoke its dark, surveilling, and oppressive world rather than explain the book directly. Animation offered the right narrative space to rebuild this atmosphere in an abstract, symbolic, and memorable way.”
